Prosper Portland Community Block Grant

GRANT TIMELINE:
Application Opens: Thursday, October 29, 2020 @ 2:00 PM
Application Closes: Thursday, November 5, 2020 @ 11:59 PM

Applicants Notified: Wednesday, November 17, 2020
Grant Distribution Begins: Monday, November 23, 2020

​Prosper Portland is providing financial assistance to small businesses in need during this pandemic who have experienced losses in business revenue from March 2020 to present due to COVID-19. The grants range from $5,000 - $20,000. This is not a first-come first-served process. Each completed application received for businesses registered in the City of Portland, will be reviewed. The final selection of grant recipients is subject to confirmation of eligibility and required documentation. Before you proceed to fill-in the application forms, please take the time to carefully review the following pre-qualification criteria. 

You are eligible to apply if you meet ALL of these :

(1) One of these best describes your business:
  • Residential / Multi-Family landlord (primary business.)
  • Private business - The business serve as the primary source of income for owner.
  • Nonprofit organization: For the purposes of this application, non-profit means that 90% or more of the nonprofit’s funding comes from goods or services sold by the organization.
  • Commercial landlord (primary business)

(2) Your principal place of business is located in the City of Portland or you have an active City of Portland Business License.

(3) Your business was in operation and actively registered with the State of Oregon on or prior to December 31, 2019.

(4) You experienced a decline in revenue since February 1, 2020 due to the COVID-19 public health and economic crisis.

(5) Your 2019 annual gross revenue is less than $5 million? (Gross revenue means total sales before any money was taken out for taxes or other deductions)

(6) You have 50 or fewer employees prior to January 1, 2020.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • If you have already applied and have been awarded a Prosper Portland grant, you may still be eligible to receive this grant provided that the total grant will not exceed a total of $25,000.00​
  • If you have already applied and have NOT been awarded a Prosper Portland grant despite meeting the pre-qualification criteria above, you may still be eligible to receive an award from this grant.
